Michael I. Levy, MD, is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a Psychiatrist with Highland Medical Psychiatry located in Nyack, NY.

Dr. Levy received his medical doctorate from Albert Einstein School of Medicine in the Bronx, NY and completed both his internship and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY. Following residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Levy was the Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and the Director of Psychopharmacology Clinical Research Ward.

He specializes in general adult and adolescent psychiatry and memory disorders. Dr. Levy has served as an attending psychiatrist and Chief of Psychiatry at Nyack hospital since 1983-2014. He is currently a consulting psychiatrist at the Friedwald Center in New City, NY, Northern Manor Nursing Home in Nanuet, NY, and Pine Valley Center in Spring Valley, NY.

In addition to his work in the field, Dr. Levy has also served as the Director of The Psychiatric Clinical Research Unit at Veterans Administration Hospital in the Bronx, NY and an assistant professor of psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY.

Dr. Levy brings a wide range of experience and knowledge to Highland Medical and is eager to serve his patients.

 

Claudia Okyere, PMHNP

Chlaudia RhanesClaudia Okyere, PMHNP is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Highland Medical, Psychiatry where she provides tele-psych services.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Ghana-Legon in Accra Ghana and her Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health from the CUNY Hunter in New York, NY.  Claudia is certified in Crisis Prevention Intervention and has practiced nursing predominantly in inpatient and outpatient behavior health settings. 
 As a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in telehealth, she is committed to providing accessible and high-quality mental health care. Her journey in telepsychiatry began with a passion for breaking down barriers to mental health services, ensuring that individuals, regardless of location, receive the support they need. Her approach integrates evidence-based practices with a personalized touch, recognizing that each patient’s journey is unique. She is dedicated to continuing her mission of making mental health care more accessible and effective through the innovative use of telehealth. Her professional philosophy centers around holistic care, focusing not only on symptom management but also on improving overall well-being. She works collaboratively with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate medication management, psychotherapy, and lifestyle modifications.
