Daniel E. Rabinowitz, MD
Daniel E. Rabinowitz, MD is a board-certified urologist at Highland Medical, Urology in Nyack, NY. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed his urology residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Rabinowitz has extensive experience treating both men and women across the full spectrum of urologic conditions. His expertise includes prostate cancer and elevated PSA management, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), male and female incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, erectile dysfunction, kidney stone disease—including complex stone surgery—and general urology. He has advanced training in focal therapy for prostate cancer using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), having trained under Dr. David Silver, one of the first urologists in the United States to perform the procedure. Dr. Rabinowitz introduced HIFU in New Jersey, performing the first ablation in Passaic County and among the first in the state.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Rabinowitz has authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles, presented at national urologic conferences, and contributed to the development of new urologic devices. He is dedicated to staying at the forefront of innovation to provide his patients with the highest standard of care. Dr. Rabinowitz is passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Rabinowitz enjoys spending time with his family, as well as playing tennis, pickleball, and snowboarding.
